More news comes out of Ubisoft as they release a screenshot from Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Yes you read that right. A screenshot. One. Singular. Here it is in its full glory.

The shot shows the protagonist hanging on from a tower with a panoramic view of the Blue Mosque in the background confirming that Constantinople will be the setting for the game. The choice of location is apt as the Templar controlled city now fits perfectly into the narrative of the series.
Those with an eye for detail and access to a larger image will also spot the fact that the character is sporting a grizzled white beard. Perhaps Ezio has grown older and wiser and decided this must be reflected in his visage and appearance as well? If Ezio indeed has progressed through the years it might make for a more a more compelling storyline.
Multiplayer will also been expanded and refined for the new installment with new gameplay and characters. For any more information we will have to wait till E3 this year. From as much as a screenshot can tell us it seems that Ubisoft is trying their best to close Ezio’s by offering an epic final instalment.
“Delivering the final chapter of the Ezio trilogy is an important milestone in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for us and for our fans.” said Ubisoft Montreal’s creative director, Alexandre Amancio, via press release today, “Assassin’s Creed Revelations includes lots of new features and some significant surprises. We can’t wait to show our fans what we have in store at E3 this year.”
