Of course, we will still continue to write what we think, and the new homepage will house all the other general gaming news and information that usually passes for editorial around here. We’ve reworked the Search feature, included a more concise Contest Listing, so you know what’s on or off at any given time, and an Event Listing, so you know where to waste your next weekend. We’re also introducing a monthly retail game sales chart, powered by GfK, so all you fanboys can chew on some real audited data on which game is the best seller ever month.

GAX Point - Started in 2008 as a video experiment (which I’m sure you all remember our very first video), GAX Point incorporates all our original videos, from interviews, to event coverage, previews and of course, the original GAX Point gaming commentaries.

Hands-on Previews - Here’s where we try our best to bring you hands-on experiences of the latest games, previews and demos playtested by the GameAxis team; you may agree or disagree with what we think, but then that’s what the discussions are for isn’t it?

The 40th Hour – This new segment is our commitment to extend the average gaming experience beyond a standard review. You’ve read our reviews, but what happens after that? Most games, especially RPGs and Adventures cannot be completed or fully explored in that timespan, and most sites move on to the next big thing after they’re done with them. But, here is where you will find extended articles, writeups, comparisons, hints, tips and discussion of your favorite games.

Friday Fives – This feature is no stranger to GameAxis.com readers. Every week, we come up with another wacky list of what we’d like to think as – the essential gaming culture countdown.

Retro – In here, you’ll not only find nuggets of the golden age of gaming, but also articles and features that commemorate videogame history, tracing modern games to their predecessors and take a glimpse at the evolution gaming franchises.

Insider – GameAxis exclusive interviews and commentaries can be accessed here. This section might be a little bit more text heavy and dry, but is an excellent resource to find out more about what’s going on in the industry.
