Funcom, the guys behind Age Of Conan and Anarchy Online are planning a different kind of MMO for their next project. They’ve just received a NOK $1.5 million (US$263,000; S$368,000) grant to develop a new social MMO based around extreme sports.

No concrete details have been announced yet, but expect Snowboarding, and other snow related extremeness from the Norwegian based developers.
