The Anime Festival Asia is back for another round of Cosplay, Gundam and J-pop. This year, AFA2009 will be held at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Halls 403 & 404 on 21st and 22nd November. Here’s a sneak preview of what you can expect:
South East Asian Regional Cosplay Championships
The top cosplay team from each SEA country will be sponsored by AFA09 to compete in the regional championships. Internationally renowned cosplayer Kaname will be a special guest judge.
I Love Anisong – Mega Music Concert
After last year’s successful concert with J-pop megastar May’n and Japan’s ‘King of Anime Songs’ Ichirou Mizuki, this year promises to be bigger and better. May’n and Mizuki will be returning, and they’ll be joined by renowned Japanese acts Yoshiki Fukuyama and Shoko Nakagawa.
Kids Land
A new zone, especially for younger children, featuring hands-on interactive sessions where kids can learn how to make sushi and dumplings as well as how to assemble their first Gundam model kit.
Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe
The Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe promises to ’soothe your soul’ as you let a team of Japanese maids serve you tea and snacks.
