Yoshinori Ono, Street Fighter 4 series producer, revealed a little more about the upcoming arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV. According to a translation of a recent Famitsu magazine issue by Andriasang:

- The arcade version will not be a straight port; the staff will be planning some balance changes. They are making sure characters aren’t too strong in the arcade version.

- When asked about new costumes and characters, producer Yoshinori Ono responded with a laugh.

- The arcade version will be compatible with the NESYS IC Card that was used in the arcade version of Street Fighter 4 in Japan arcades.

- National tournaments for the arcade version will be held.

Ono also gave some tidbits about changes to the console version implemented onto the arcade version. “For me,” he said to Famitsu, “the IV series ends with Super SFIV. We want both Super SFIVs to be played for a long time, so we’ll listen to feedback after the arcade version is released to determine if players want the home version updated.” He also added that if the update is similar to the Tournament Mode update made available on June 15th, it’ll be free. If it adds new moves, we’ll be forking money for it.
