One of the games to pleasantly surprise me at this yearâ€™s Tokyo Game Show is Platinum Gameâ€™s Vanquish, Segaâ€™s upcoming futuristic shooter. My initial impression of Vanquish was that it would be a Gears of War rip-off due to its cover-based gameplay mechanics, but my extended playtime with Vanquish has quelled my reservations for this title.
