At around 5PM today, just as everyone at TGS was getting ready to go off and enjoy some post-game show ramen, the earth moved… No, it wasn’t a ground breaking announcement to cap off the day, but a 6.2 magnitude earthquake some 140 miles off shore of Tokyo.
Strangely enough, despite it being my first earthquake, that wasn’t even the weirdest thing TGS had to offer…
For my final Friday Fives, I thought I’d take the chance to look back at some of my favorites over the years. Yes, it’s a top five list of top five lists! How positively meta!
Tim Schafer’s company Double Fine Productions have announced a new Xbox Live and PSN title called Costume Quest. The Halloween themed game has you playing as a young boy searching for his missing sister after she’s kidnapped by a monster who mistakes her for a piece of delicious candy (she was dressed as a candy cane for Halloween).

IAHGames and Blizzard Entertainment will be hosting a launch party for StarCraft II’s Singapore release at Funan DigitalLife Mall on 27th July.
Have you seen the marketing campaign for APB? Basically they’ve suckered some guy into being a Human Avatar. The Internet will give him a complete makeover, in the style of the character customization tool from the game. New haircut, new piercings, new tattoos, new clothes – the works.
