Capcom Vs. SNK 3? Perhaps, says Ono

Yes, Yoshinori Ono, producer of Street Fighter IV (in arcades now and soon-to-be in your living room) knows that Capcom vs. SNK is popular among the hardcore (such as yours truly who had his jaw wide open when Capcom Vs. SNK was first announced years ago). According to an interview in JeuxActu.com, he stated:

“When I was doing interview for Onimusha, another title I produced, journalist would always ask me if Capcom was going to develop Street Fighter IV. This caused us to think that this was the right moment, and we began production. I think this sort of thing could happen again with Capcom vs. SNK â€” especially if enough people wish for the series’ return.”

Seriously, make it so; we would like to see a part 3 using SFIV’s graphics and see Ryu and Kyo duking it out yet again. I want to see new characters like Dante(?) and K’ squaring it (the battle of the white-haired fops) Hell, I made a 2009 prediction on it on the December issue. Don’t let me down, dammit!
