It seems the Xbox 360 has been around forever; Microsoft’s gaming machine is close to seven years old. And so we aren’t exactly surprised when we caught wind of some news that Microsoft is ready to launch the 360’s successor next year.
What do all these two things have in common? Well, they both promote a healthy approach to videogames among the youth, fostering camaraderie, sparking debate, and they both happened last weekend.
MDA launched Singapore’s first Games Solution Centre and PlayStation Incubation Studio on the 28th October 2011, the first collaborative games development resource center in Southeast Asia focused on emerging small-to-medium developers.

At 2000 hours GMT+8, Singapore was one of the first countries in the world to officially launch Gears of War 3. More than 1,000 people who pre-ordered the game turned up to finish their fight with the Locust Horde. We were at the scene, and here’s our tale.

Tokyo Game Show 2011 – Day 1

At around 5PM today, just as everyone at TGS was getting ready to go off and enjoy some post-game show ramen, the earth moved… No, it wasn’t a ground breaking announcement to cap off the day, but a 6.2 magnitude earthquake some 140 miles off shore of Tokyo.
Strangely enough, despite it being my first earthquake, that wasn’t even the weirdest thing TGS had to offer…
Looks like Blizzard has finally locked down the service provider for the real money auction houses in Diablo III, and it really isn’t that much of a surprise that it’s PayPal.
Not many of you may know this, but Sony Computer Entertainment Asia has a partnership with Nanyang Polytechnic regarding PlayStation development kits and they have just extended it.
