It’s a sad day for Company of Heroes fans. Brian R. Wood, lead designer of the upcoming Company of Heroes Online and overall direction of the franchise, tragically passed away on a Friday night in an automobile accident in Seattle (via Seattle PI & Kotaku). He was 33 years old.
Wood was behind the wheel of his Subaru Outback with his wife Erin, six months pregnant, when they were struck by a Chevy Blazer driven by a 21-year old Jordyn B. Weichert. Two passengers in Weichert’s car were killed, while the other, 22 year old Samantha R. Bowling, was injured. The driver is allegedly under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident. The State Patrol who came to the scene of the accident said that Weichert could be charged with vehicular homicide once released from hospital. His wife made it out alive; hospitalized, but is recovering.
Our condolences go to Wood’s family and the staff at Relic Entertainment.

It’s a sad day for us and the world also . Who knows what this man could have achieved. Now everything is ripped apart and broken for his family and everyone.I AM SO SICK OF THESE IRRESPONSIBLE KIDS DRIVING AROUND WHILE FU3%&&^%&D UP.I remember “back in the day ” if we were messed up at all we stayed where we were. Didn’t drive etc.We had BRAINS back then.!!!!! Where has the common sense gone?
