It’s true; when publishers really want to hit the common denominator, they would stoop so low as to incorporate “deep and soulful” music into their soon-to-be-hit games. First up is Call of Duty: Black Ops, which will feature Eminem’s new song from his recent album “Recovery”. Song’s called “Till I Collapse”.
Catchy? Probably for you young ones. Just recently, EA will be including a song in Medal of Honor to match the quality of “Till I Collapse” with a Linkin Park song from their upcoming album “A Thousand Suns”. The song’s called “The Catalyst”.
Bet whichever young person listening to this stellar material will be going “Linkin Park gets me! *gasp*”. If you wish to see a full-length music video of the song, it will appear on the Medal of Honor website on August 1st, a day before the song hits radio and iTunes.
Truly there is no accounting to taste in music when it comes to blockbuster FPSs. What next: Coheed & Cambria for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier? Avenged Sevenfold for Gears of War 3?

I fail to see your point. Many of the artists you mentioned are great ones. Eminem has some amazing music and Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands. Whats wrong with companies wanting to put in music like that?
