EVO Asia Pacific: Late May 2010

Wish to participate in EVO 2010 in Las Vegas, but can’t fork out a plane ticket to go that far? Well, turns out you can represent by participating in EVO APAC. That’s right; EVO has spread its wings overseas and is getting Asia Pacific in on the action.

According to OzHadou.net, the contest will be held in Sydney and will be held on a Saturday & Sunday in late May 2010. The specific location has yet to be disclosed, but we’ll keep you updated on any news.

The winner of the major tournament there (specifically a Super Street Fighter IV tournament) will get a paid flight to represent the Asia Pacific region in Super Street Fighter IV at Las Vegas in EVO 2010. This includes a free entry to EVO and an advance seed in the tournament, meaning you’ll be bypassing the first round of pools. Out of the 1000 or more competitors, the EVO APAC winners will get a top 10-20% seeding in Super SFIV.
