With faster Internet access speeds and servers that can host huge teams of players going for kills, it’s no wonder the FPS genre has practically exploded within the last few years.
The Call of Duty and Battlefield franchises have been at the forefront of the genre, and now you get to experience the game that set off the Battlefield series. Battlefield 1942 is now available as a free digital download in celebration of the series’s 10th anniversary, though you can only get it via EA’s digital distribution service, Origins.
