Final Fantasy XIII Sold More Than 1.5 MILLION Copies Within A Week

*Update: Heh, forgot to add in “million” on the title. That was embarrassing.

Surprised? Square Enix’s thirteenth game based on the legendary JRPG franchise sold over 1.5 million copies. According to data on Enterbrain’s site, those 1.5 million copies were sold on the first four days in Japan. How about day one sales? Oh, about 1.1 million.

Of course, this would mean that PS3 consoles are sold by the boatload, and you’d be right. About 240,000 or so consoles were sold in that same week FFXIII was out, including the Pink Lightning edition (which is probably out of stock in Asia by the time you read this; these things sell like hotcakes, you know). Goes to show that the FF name still means something still despite its numerous iterations and the fact that the original people behind the franchise are not involved in this particular game.

Seen some1 played it at Gamescore Funan, liked the smooth gameplay and interesting summon and battle systems though its in jap, would give the ATB system another chance since it was butchered by FF12.

FF12 the only FF game i feel its a waste of time due to gameplay and storyline, i even feel FF9 is better than 12.
