Jade Raymond Now Leads Ubisoft Toronto

Just recently this week, Ubisoft announced that they have opened a new studio in Toronto, courtesy of a live press conference in Ontario done by the Premiere of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty. The usual “games is business” spiel and the announcement of a new C.E.O was discussed, but that’s not important for you forumites. Guess who else is in charge of the new office? Why it’s Assassin’s Creed’s producer (and Assassin’s Creed II’s Executive Producer) Jade Raymond. She will be overseeing the new studio in their motto of focusing on creating “AAA games and new intellectual properties.” Naturally, she will answer to the CEO of Ubisoft Montreal and Toronto, Yannis Mallat.

This also means that there are currently 800 new game industry-related jobs available (at this time of news publishing). So if you wish to get your foot on the door on an international level, now’s a good time to check out Ubisoft’s job application site.
