So, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of Mega Man 10’s new robot master Sheep Man, whose making waves in the Deviantart/fanart community. How about the other seven robots though? Glad you asked, because the Mega Man Network (a fansite for Mega Man-related news, duh) just revealed the rest of the Robot Masters (with thanks to CoCoRog for the heads-up for that site). Who will you be fighting this time around? How far has Capcom scrapped from the bottom in terms of new monikers?

Strike Man – Throws baseballs, has a sports-themed level, looks like a baseball with arms and legs.

Pump Man - Uses a water version of Wood Man’s popular weapon, the Leaf Shield. Looks like a pump, with an exposed water pipe on his chest.

Chilled Man - Fires ice bullets. Looks like a friendlier Mr. Freeze.

Solar Man – Absorbs attacks and fires them back via his solar flat head.

Sheep Man- You know damn well how he looks like. He can divide himself and shoot down thunderbolts ala Cloud Man.

Blade Man – A sleeker version of Sword Man. Has swords for hands. Probably has trouble shaking people’s hands.

Nitro Man - He can transform into a motorcycle, so odds are he could be Turbo Man’s brother. Looks more like a better-looking Go Bot.

Commando Man – Built almost like a tank, right down to the shoulderpads and green color scheme. Shoots out explosives. Grenade Man’s tougher brother, perhaps?

I don’t know about you, but I was hoping for the list to be more….esoteric and wacky. And whatever the hell happen to equal robot female rights? There’s no Robot Mistress in sight!

least they keep back to the original artwork design, staying true to the 8bit game love.

keeping to ” -man”; those horrible ones are from X series rite.

think it will not go dry lah, there is so much words invented thru the years and they only use 8 per game lol.

maybe there is Boomz Lady :D or Wikiman Torrentman Axisman, Gameman lol

heck i think i saw Echimen(pun to prince of tennis) that reflect tennis balls

they should come out with 2P or dramatic battle thou :D

anyway looking forward to the franchise of this.

I take it that when you mentioned Boomz Lady you meant Ris Low?Haha, that stuff cracks me up everytime.

Wikiman?Torrentman? It would be interesting to see what their powers would be.

And I totally agree with you on having 2 player mode, maybe more like what Super Mario Bros Wii did.Multiplayer story mode, team deathmatch, capture the flag…fans will thank Capcom for them….

  8. Tristan Toh says:

The creative well at Capcom seems to have run dry.The bosses from Megaman 8 onwards are just rehashes of previous bosses.

At least the original “-man” names are retained, instead of horrible ones like Duff McWhalen and Burning Rooster.

    • Mr Toffee says:

But, but….Burning Rooster is a cock on fire. That stuff writes itself!

But seriously, I’m surprised Capcom haven’t used cockroach or aadvark in their X series.
