Welcome the Lunar New Year with PlayStation discounts and giveaways

The Lunar New Year festivities has kicked off for PlayStation Asia, with digital store discounts running all the way till 21 February. As usual, this is a good time to extend PS Plus subscriptions or pick up last year’s releases. Sony Interactive Entertainment are also holding Facebook giveaways from 16–19 Feb., with more than 230 prizes to be won.

Game discounts and a stackable coupon code

Who doesn’t love a good deal? From now to 21 Feb., 160 selected PS4 titles are on offer with discounts ranging between 30 to 70 percent. Some of these games will have an additional 10 percent off for existing PS Plus members. You can then lower the price even further by using a one-time coupon code to shave off an additional 15 percent.

Coupon code: QHPHQQ7TKA
Discounted Games: PlayStation Store

Again, that code can only be redeemed once per account. It’s also not applicable to pre-orders or for subscription services such as PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Music.

Here are some picks below $40 to get you started. All prices are listed without the coupon applied.

PS Plus subscription offers

If you’re looking to sign up or renew your PS Plus membership, the PS Store currently has three offers available.

Discounts aside, a PS Plus membership is required for a majority of online multiplayer games. That said, you do get other perks such as monthly free games, 10GB worth of cloud storage for your saves, and the occasional early access to demos and trials.

Giveaway campaign

This only goes live from 16–19 Feb. Basically, all you need to do is to visit PlayStation Asia’s Facebook page and follow whatever instructions they’ve shared. Apparently, “over 230 prizes will be given to PS Plus members” so it’ll probably be digital goods. The campaign posts will go live at 1PM daily.
