There’s a SONY roadshow and FIFA 13 tournament this weekend at Funan Digitalife Mall, and you’re invited. Well, not really – you need to get creative with your words, first.
GameSpot Australia has teamed up with Electronic Arts for the FIFA ULTIMATE TEAM tournament to determine Asia Pacific’s best FIFA 13 player and award him or her with $10,000, and they’re not going to be looking at just talent alone.
To first qualify to play, you have to give “the most creative, accurate, and original answer” to the question (in 50 words or less): what is your perfect FIFA 13 ULTIMATE TEAM line-up, and why?
Next, you have to be one of the top 32 ranked players (according to tournament results listed on SC2SEA). Eighteen back-up players will be selected to fill in should one of the top 32 qualifying players choose to absent him or herself.
While seeding players is not uncommon for tournaments, this is the first time we’ve seen a written answer being the basis for qualification into a tournament. The answers will be judged by GameSpot AU’s editorial team.
FIFA 13 players deft with your hands and minds can sign up here.
