You heard right (if you haven’t the month before): No More Heroes will be reborn like a phoenix on the Xbox 360 and PS3, with the subtitle “Heroes’ Paradise”. It’s jam-packed with new HD graphics, a new publisher (Ubisoft’s not publishing it), and new bonus content like the ability to dress up the female characters in the game like tarts. Oh, and the motion controller bits are ditched too.
To further the agenda that this version will be tailor-made for standard controllers, the Xbox 360 and PS3 port of the game will not be using the new control schemes for their respective platforms (Natal for Xbox 360 and Sony Motion Controller/Wand for PS3). According to an article on Edge Online, Marvelous Entertainment president Yasuhiro Wada says that the high-definition make-over is to “bring the game to a wider audience”. Marvelous Entertainment isn’t “currently considering to use uncommon new technology” at the moment. The new analog control scheme should “improve the sense of being in the game”.
Any chance they’ll also ditch the weak GTA-style gameplay and just make it action-orientated all the way?
