Lego and Minecraft have always seemed to be a perfect match, and so we weren’t surprised when a Minecraft set appeared on Lego Cuusoo, an official Lego website where fan-created Lego sets are put up for vote for Lego to officially produce these creations.
And now the finished product may be released sooner than we expected as a post on Lego Cuusoo’s blog has revealed that the Minecraft set should be available by summer 2012, which is around June to September. And that’s not bad indeed considering that the concept for the set was officially approved by Lego just last month, in January. No word on when it will hit our sunny island though.
The Minecraft set will include the two iconic characters from Minecraft, Steve and a Creeper. With the ability to build four modular vignettes, the set will also allow you to remove the surface of the modules to reveal hidden resources beneath.
