When the new gameaxis.com was launched, I promised that we’d beef up the Unwired section not only to keep it updated with the latest info and promotions, but that you can expect some freebies thrown your way. Well, it’s time to get started on that I guess. Over the past two months, our resident raider – Longadin and his guild Secrets – who helped put it all together (eating into his raiding schedule, shouting for screenshots to be taken in between tanking I’m told – god bless his uber geared soul) has gotten quite the number of positive response for the feature.
So, we’ve decided to release both part 1 and 2 of our Ulduar guide online for your viewing pleasure. Of course, instead of some boring old PDF, which I’m sure most people won’t bother clicking in the first place, we’ve been experimenting with some web publishing platforms. You can still download them of course, zoom in, make full screen, print..etc. etc. It’s pretty cool I would say. Enjoy.

Nice effort, but end game raiding is not as simple as it looks. This is like cliff notes. If I was a non-wow raider I would have no idea what you were talking about. If I was, won’t I turn to Strafu first?
And why Secrets? Why not Quantum or Serious Players?

err i’m not a retadin despite what my “primary” talent indicates. furthermore, what has hard modes have to do with a guide for the fights in normal?

and please, if you do want to make a point, try to do so without hiding like a coward. that way I can at least take your comments with more than a pinch of salt.
to each their own. i’m no wow player, but i can see a thought-out strategy and effort placed on the printed hints.

While the web publishing platform is pretty cool, i speak for all serious wow players in pointing out that that guide is terrible, and has no place in a print magazine. After all you can get immensely more helpful stuff on wowwiki anyway. Crap like this is a total waste of page space and it’s precisely what SHOULD NOT be in the printed magazine. Keep this online, leave the precious pages for features and reviews, things that readers actually care about seeing in print. As oppose to stuff that was inferior to easily available online material.
Just to substantiate why this guide is not worth the paper it’s printed on, where’s the guides for the bosses in the antechamber? Why are some sections so laughably skimpy that you practically have to already know the fight to understand what’s being said? Why are we listening to a retadin who only has done the 3 easiest hard modes in ulduar?
Gaxis should have always been like this.
