So how would you, a woman who wishes to propose to her gamer boyfriend, pull off the ultimate proposal? Through a game that he loves playing, of course. With the help of fellow Fallout 3 mod users Skykappa, old_andy, and sesom, she created the perfect wedding proposal in a form of a Fallout 3 level for her now-betrothed Shawn.
The woman in question, *Puffy*Puppy*, says that”(she) thought that it should be done in a way that he would never expect, and would end up totally appreciating. What does he get to do while he is not working, not stressed out, and wants to unwind? Gaming! What does he love to play? Fallout 3! Check out the mod at the bottom, which spans about 8 minutes long. Lord knows what would have happened if he ended up playing another sidequest: Fallout 3’s world isn’t that small, you know.
So now that she’s dipped her hand in the modding scene, what’s next?
“I think my clueless face worked well, because he didn’t have any inclination about the mod,” she says, “or that I had even heard of The G.E.C.K.! After he gave me a mini lesson on what the range of possibilities were, he said that modding is something that he wants to look into and become a part of. We would make a good team, because I have an eye for design and color, anything creative, and he is the pure technical side of the equation. Not to mention, he is a well of creativity that is rarely tapped.” Congratulations to the couple, by the by.
