Shigeru Miyamoto Gets To See Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Early

Posted in General

The upcoming movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World will be drenched with so many videogame references that even director Edgar Wright needed to put in music from the Legend of Zelda somewhere in the movie. The catch? He has to show the film to Shigeru Miyamoto himself in an advanced screening, according to a Wired interview conducted by star Michael Cera. “When I was writing to Nintendo to get permission, I was saying, ‘This music is like nursery rhymes to a generation,” Wright said.

Keep in mind that Edgar Wright directed Hot Fuzz and Shaun of The Dead, so there’s a huge chance this upcoming movie (based on the hit Oni Press comic book, by the by) will just be as memorable and delectable. Keep your schedule free on August 13th (or whatever date Singapore distributors will choose for this flick).

  1. Different kind of post. I was checking out something sorta like this a bit earlier. Nice that it is getting covered. Now that I think about it, I need to make my site theme more like this.

  2. Usually I don’t read post on blogs, but I wish to say that this write-up very forced me to try and do it! Your writing style has been amazed me. Thanks, quite nice article.

  3. IMDB says Oct 28 for Singapore. Can’t wait!
