At a closed door press tour held at Blizzard HQ in Irvine last week, Blizzard’s Rob Pardo announced that Diablo III will not only have an auction house system, it will have dual auction houses allowing players to use either in-game gold or real world money. GameAxis was fortunate enough to be among the invited media, so here’s everything we know so far.
Blizzard have announced that the new, revamped Battle.net service, which will connect players across Starcraft 2, World of Warcraft and Diablo 3, will also integrate with Facebook. Players will be able to easily see and add any Blizzard gamers who are friends on Facebook to their Battle.net friend’s list
Blizzard’s multiplayer Battle.Net service has been around for 12 years now, launching in 1997 with Diablo. It now has 12 million players.
With StarCraft II coming out, Rob Pardo, Blizzard’s executive vice president of game design, took the opportunity to show off some of the features of the newly revamped Battle.Net.
