Not a whole lot for this week’s release, eh? We’ve got a cowboy version of a Valve-created classic, a bundled version of a loot-hoarding FPS, and more Mass Effect 2 shenanigans.
Remember that new Borderlands DLC we brought up a few days ago? Well, it’s officially announced: Gearbox Software is going to release the third and largest helping of DLC for Borderlands with an episode called “Secret Armory of General Knoxx”.
After swimming around the Gearbox forums for a few minutes or so, there’s news about a new DLC that will be bigger than both the “Zombie Island of Dr. Ned” and “Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot” combined.

Can’t wait to plunk down US$10 for about 10 hours of zombie-shooting and loot-hoarding action in Borderlands? Neither can we. We’ll have to wait until next week but until then, take a look at this sneak preview from IGN.
The upcoming Borderlands DLC expansion level, dubbed “The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned”, will be coming out on November 24th.

If you’re as ticked off as I am for not being able to play the game despite buying it and preloading just before the 26 Oct release date (which had been pushed to Oct 30), there’s a loophole that you can use to get the game going without waiting one more day. I did this to my copy from Steam last night and can verify it works fine.

Borderlands is fun. However, keep in mind that there are some technical glitches to be wary of, regardless of how rare they are. Think of this post as a public service announcement in making sure your Borderlands-playing experience isn’t sullied.
