One of the games to pleasantly surprise me at this year’s Tokyo Game Show is Platinum Game’s Vanquish, Sega’s upcoming futuristic shooter. My initial impression of Vanquish was that it would be a Gears of War rip-off due to its cover-based gameplay mechanics, but my extended playtime with Vanquish has quelled my reservations for this title. Instead, I’m looking forward to this stylish shooter.
