One of my favorite characters from KoTOR was HK-47, the hunter-killer assassin droid that would lovingly refer to all lifeforms as meatbags. Somehow travelling around the galaxy just wouldn’t be the same without his constant companionship.
For The Old Republic MMO, Bioware have just released their Companions page detailing the different characters you can recruit to join your cause – just like HK-47! Or if you’re more of an original trilogy kind of guy, just like Chewbacca.
Companions can be recruited through quests, chance encounters or hired from bars and other hang outs. Many will stay with you through other quests and adventures. You can even have a team of companions, although exactly how many are allowed, and whether you can ‘bank’ them has yet to be revealed. You can also equip them with gear and possibly customize their skills.
The official page also mentions that you can err… ‘become lovers’, although there are no details on what exactly this entails.
