You might think that I’m biased much with the title above. But seriously, unless you’re a big sports gamer, there’s a big chance you’re saving up for either Naughty Dog’s awesome tribute to Raiders of The Lost Ark (with multiplayer) or for Gearbox’s awesome tribute to Diablo II with Fallout peppered in-between. Or both, which is a better idea in my opinion. October is sure to kill off whatever money is remaining in your wallet.
FIFA 10 (Xbox 360, PS3)
Yeah, I forgot that this was out last Friday, but now you know (and knowing’s half the battle, right?). EA’s hit football franchise is now in its tenth iteration, and it’s looking mighty fine. You know, I’m going to start referring this game as FIFA X just because that sounds cool. Nope, this has nothing to do with Megaman or anything. No sirree bob.
NBA 2K10 (Xbox 360, PS3)
If, however, you prefer a game where the ball bounces on the court and see points come in faster than Peter North(don’t google it if you’re at work), maybe you’d like to see 2K Sport’s take on basketball.
NBA Live 10 (Xbox 360, PS3)
Oh my, yet another basketball game. Now it’s a pretty tough choice between 2K10 and Live 10. Who do you love more: Take Two or EA?
Lucidity (Xbox 360, PC)
Holy crap! A LucasArts game that’s not Star Wars? Which happens to be an all-new I.P set as a 2D puzzle platformer and looks artsy in the process? Are you sure this is the same LucasArts?

Just another Star Wars action games.
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
Just another shoot…wait a second. This one might actually be more than decent. Think an open-world version of Rainbow Six Vegas, only with better graphics. The first Operation Flashpoint was a cult hit: let’s hope this one gets a bigger acclaim.
