Juggling and wave-dashing madness ahoy! It’s the sixth iteration of the legendary fighting game series now available for consoles.
Bayonetta (Xbox 360, PS3)
Hideki Kamiya’s new action game should be out at least end of the week. Just remember that for all the slack it gets from forums all around the world, you can’t judge a game solely from its demo and the fact that one of the ports got the short end of the stick in terms of frame rates.
Forza Motorsports 3 (Xbox 360)
Yeah, this game was out last week, but I’ll just put my 2 cents here. This is essentially the “Gran Turismo” for the Xbox 360, only you can paint your cars to whatever sick colors and pattern schemes you so desire. With the added bonus of even selling and auctioning off your cars online (for in-game credit) and a s***load of cars, the other driving sim for the PS3 better damn well follow up big next year. Because, frankly, this is THE driving game of 2009.
Sin & Punishment 2 (Wii)
The legendary N64 shooter returns with a sequel for the Wii. Trust me, the only thing stopping you from playing this import is the fact that you need either a Japanese Wii or a modded one. You’ll be a sap in missing out some fine 3D rail shooting from Treasure.
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time (PS3)
Hey hey, it’s Ratchet & Clank 5. Somehow, the series seems to appear fresh with each iteration despite its familiarity (control a furry, use “x” number of weapons you can level up and modify, save the world). But there’s a gun that transforms enemies into monkeys, so I’ll cut it some slack.
