Saddle up, gamers and readers, as this week have giant robots, evil overlords, the art of pugilism and blazes of blue coming to your respective systems.
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger (Xbox 360, PS3)

"Hey, you got something in your eye. Let me use my razor-sharp living cloth to check."
The spiritual successor to the Guilty Gear series features the same robust and complex fighting system that hardcore fighters know and love. Steampunk world that has both science and magic mixed with each other? Check. Insanely detailed 2D graphics? Check. A 30+ hour story mode and online multiplayer support for the console versions? Check. A fighting system filled with terms like Revolver Action, Rapid Cancel, and a lot more complications? Oh hell check.
Overlord II (Xbox 360, PC, PS3)

The first Overlord was a surprise hit, thanks to its blend of Pikmin-style gaming and action. How evil will the sequel become? Well, let’s just say that you’ll be clubbing seals at one point in the game. Congratulations, Codemasters, you’ve reached a new low/high.
Fight Night Round 4 (PS3, Xbox 360)

While I may not be a fan of sports games, watching Fight Night Round 3 back when the Xbox 360 debut was a majestic sight. Sports games live and die at how realistic they’re portrayed, and nothing else seems to portray boxing better than part 4. We definitely can’t wait to check this one out, if only to pit Muhammad Ali against Mike Tyson.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Every System Out There)

The designers claim to have learnt from their past mistakes in the first Transformers game, and opt to make part two a better experience. Based on GAX’s experiences with Wanted and Terminator: Salvation, I’ll believe it when I see it.
The Conduit (Wii)

Conduit is essentially a third-party studio implementing Wii controls onto a sci-fi FPS. I have yet to touch the game, but odds are it seems promising and could be the successor to Metroid Prime 3’s controls. Yes, I am aware that those are pretty bold statements.
Spore Galactic Adventures (PC)

PC gamers pleaded for more things to do on Spore, and Will Wright answered. Spore Galactic Adventure adds in more customization than you can shake a stick on, and let you make up your own role-playing adventures and missions. Plus, there’s Robot Chicken-related content tucked in the expansion in case the previous selling point didn’t entice you.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor (DS)

Hi Atlus, Takeshi Obata called. He wants his art style back.
Who among us missed the first-person perspective dungeon battles of past RPGs like Eye of The Beholder? You’re in luck: Devil Survivor’s combat system is pretty much that. Pity the character art is an eyesore; a sharp contrast to its dread-filled storyline and post-apocalyptic adventure.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
I’ll immediately grab your rss feed as I can not find your e-mail subscription link or e-newsletter service. Do you have any? Kindly let me know in order that I could subscribe. Thanks.
