Tales of Vesperia (PS3)

Finally, after months of waiting, we can play the next installment in the Tales series. Oh wait, the game’s already been out last year, doi! I meant to say, now PS3 owners can finally play the next installment to the Tales series. This version gives you extra content, including more unlockables and a pirate kid as a new playable character.

SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu- Goddess of Destiny (DS)

Really hardcore gamers now get to play a prettier version of a Gameboy RPG that used to be called Final Fantasy Legend 2. To be frank, I only got into the SaGa series with Romancing SaGa 3, but from what I’ve heard, the FF Legend series were pretty good even for 8-bit handheld fares. Hopefully when it’s in English, it’ll get the non-linear mutant-filled love it deserves.

Scribblenauts (DS)

Hydra? Yes. Unicorn? Yes. Monorail Cat? Yes. Boasting over 22,000 words in the English language, Scribblenauts will make you spend the rest of the day pitting mythical beasts against priests in tanks just at the start screen. You do know there’s a game in there somewhere, right?

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (Xbox 360, PS3)

I wrote about it last week. Long story short, I liked it. Go get it.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story (DS)

I wrote about it yesterday. Long story short, I liked it. Go get it. Yes, this is the season where we “kena pokai”/become broke due to the huge influx of games.

Wet (Xbox 360, PS3)

wet-game

What would happen if Quentin Tarantino made a videogame? It’ll be called Wet and it’ll star Rose McGowan. Well, not so much Rose McGowan, but we get an equally badass female warrior whose sole power is to cause a time dimensional slowdown when she jumps or does a roll. As many times as she likes.

Need For Speed: Shift (Xbox 360, PS3)

Finally, the series get a nice kick in the pants with this new take on the franchise. The game will sell millions by name alone, but glad to see the developers trying something new with the cars, tracks, and format.

PC Ports of Red Faction: Guerilla, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Resident Evil 5

Better late than never. All these delays for the PC version just to add Phys-X stuff onto them. You know, because bits of flowing cloth and paper matters so much with the money you’re shelling out for graphics card nowadays. I kid, I kid. Publishers developers really have to stop gimping PC gamers who wish for these games to come out the same time as their console counterparts just so they can add in unnecessary tweaks here and there. A week of a delay is already pushing it, but a month-plus? What in the hell, guys?

Yeah, there’s a rant in there somewhere, but we’ll get to that in the future.
