Ever wonder what would happen if the whole population of Earth up and left their planet and the animals behind? You get the absurdly awesome premise of upcoming PS3 game Tokyo Jungle. Here, all manner of fauna are the new residents of a deserted Tokyo, fighting for survival.

The game will have two modes: Story and Survival. Story mode explain why the humans left via a slew of missions. It stars a horse and a toy dog. Survival mode lets you pick an animal and survive as long as possible. What animals can you play as, you may ask? You get to control a lion, a crocodile, a tiger, a giraffe, a chimpanzee, a hippo, a cheetah, a gazelle, a chicken, a beagle, and a fox. I do wonder how the death tags would turn out in multi-player though…

<Player 1, Lion> has been pecked to death by <Player 2, Chicken>

<Player 3, Tiger> has been killed through mysterious circumstances by <Player 4, Giraffe>

<Player 5, Hippo> was choked by the “projectiles” flung by <Player 6, Chimpanzee>
