TEKKEN is set in a world that has given rise to a new civilization run not by governments, but rather six, all powerful corporations – the mightiest of which is Tekken. JIN KAZAMA lives on the outside of Tekken City in a run down slum known as “The Anvil”. He is a young man with a remarkable blend of street smarts and raw fighting skills who has been able to provide for himself and his mother by running contraband through THE ANVIL’S lurid streets. After a series of action packed, close calls, Jin returns home just in time to witness Jacks – TEKKEN’s robotic security units – destroying their home and killing his mother. In this moment, Jin understands that the murder of his mother was the act of TEKKEN’s chairman and leader HEIHACHI MISHIMA, and vows revenge.
JIN infiltrates the great walls of TEKKEN by winning the coveted wildcard position in the Iron Fist Tournament – the most important event of the year. One fighter represents each of the ruling Corporations and the winner of the tournament affords its sponsoring corporation the distinction as the most powerful in the world. JIN and the other fighters are set to battle each other in the most incredible, groundbreaking fighting ever seen on screen. The fighters soon realize, however, they are merely pawns in a bigger game. KAZUYA, MISHIMA’s son, desperately wants to overthrow his father and take control of TEKKEN. KAZUYA plans to make the tournament a “To The Death” bloodbath, designed to kill JIN, who he has discovered is his illegitimate son and who threatens his birthright of inheriting TEKKEN CORP. The contestants decide to fight their way out creating a battle for the ages…
