Microsoft announced recently that it’s raising the price of the XBox Live Gold subscription starting November 1st. According to a post on PC World, the usual US$50 yearly subscription fee will increase by US$10. Quarterly will jump from US$20 to US$25, while monthly will go up from US$8 to US$10. Microsoft is giving subscribers a chance to get one more year for US$40, no doubt to capitalize on the price hike.
Meanwhile, the Playstation Network is letting everyone play online with each other for the paltry sum of zero dollars. Just saying….
