UPDATE: New pics from Capcom Unity Blog
Better late than never: Capcom decides to bring back the Street Fighter 2 bonus stages, according to the latest Famitsu issue in Japan. The break-the-car and break-the-barrels will make their return. Also from the scan, there will be 8-player support for online, meaning that a possible tournament match with a tourney ladder would be possible.A new mode, called Endless Battle, is also announced. It’s either the game’s version of Survival Mode until you die or just a fancier name for an online lobby where two players duke it out while everyone else take their turns.
Two-versus-two modes will also be supported in the game. Capcom sure weren’t kidding when they said they were listening to fan requests for this, and the US$40 price is making things all the more sweeter. Maybe the next announcement will be character-specific themes playing during fights instead of the techno garbage in SFIV. Oh yeah, here’s a recent video of some more Super SF IV action.
