Straight out of San Diego Comic Con 2010 comes two new animated features from both DC and Marvel. In one corner, it’s Young Justice. Basically, this DC superhero group is a step above Teen Titans, but just below the Justice League. To the extreme.

Thankfully, it’s shaping up to be good so far. It’s being produced by Brandon Vietti and Greg “I did Gargoyles and Spectacular Spiderman” Weisman, so you know that it’ll be in good hands (lots of action, adult overtones, and one or two heroes biting the dust). Young Justice will be airing in the US on November.

In the other, it’s the upcoming Avengers animated series. I dig the art style, but the theme song sung by the bastard child of Nickelback and Good Charlotte needs to die in a fire. Fast. This being a Disney XD show, I really doubt they’ll have a scene where Hank Pym will beat up the Wasp at some point. Avengers will be aired end of the year.

P.S: What on earth is Brainiac doing in Marvel?
